PADI IDC Prep Course

You may already be a PADI pro, but going pro doesn't mean you know it all! Why not stay a little longer on the beautiful island of Roatan and arrive a few days before your IDC starts to do The IDC Prep course.

It is a 4-14 day course aimed at refreshing the skills and knowledge you gained during the Divemaster course, including up to 30 dives on Roatan's reef.

If:

• Your demonstrations of the 20 basic scuba skills are rusty.
• Your dive theory needs some work (Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Decompression theory and the RDP, Skills and the environment).
• Your rescue skills are rusty.
• Its a while since you did your Divemaster course.
• You won't been diving for a while when you come to start the IDC.

Then you should think about taking this course, just to be sure of success at the IE.

The course involves classroom lectures, DVDs and mock exams in the mornings with water work in the afternoon. We will do two complete skill circuits and a lecture and exam in all five of the theory sections. The course is extremely personalised and rarely has more than 2-3 students on it. If you have no problem with the RDP then we will spend more time where you do have some trouble.

We will also give you the opportunity to watch the Pro versions of the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Divemaster DVDs. These DVDs are an excellent way to prepare for the IDC as they give a large number of hints and tips on the best way to teach these courses including role model demonstrations of the skills you will be assigned during the IDC and IE.

Its also a great way to get to know each other, the dive staff and the boats / confined water environments before the IDC starts.
