Coconut Tree Divers is regularly described as the friendliest, most personal and caring dive center around. Our reviews on Trip advisor add credence to this claim. We hope that should you choose to do your Divemaster internship or Instructor Development course with us you will leave feeling we are.
Finding the balance between quality professional training and a friendly fun atmosphere is where we excel. When you sign up for a Divemaster internship or Instructor Development course the entire instructional team working at that operation is what matters, working for a dive operation is all about team work. We take pride in the fact that we have a lower staff turnover than the majority of dive shops in the Bay Islands, demonstrating what an excellent workplace Coconut Tree is. That low staff turnover means that you will be trained by the most experienced team around; no other dive center in the region can claim to have staff so many years experience. At the Pro level this is what matters.
As a CDC (Career Development center) Coconut Tree Divers offers courses all the way from entry level Open Water through the PADI ranks. As a center that trains many Divemasters and Open Water Scuba instructors every year we take our commitment to professionalism very seriously. In order to produce confident, skilled and eminently employable PADI Divemasters and dive instructors we must be exemplary in everything we do.
This does not just refer to our diving practices and facilities, but to the way we run our business. When we conduct divemaster internships or instructor development courses we aim to role model the highest level of standards in our dive training, equipment maintenance and selection, customer relations and communications, business management and of course the social side, above all when you train with Coconut Tree, you are a part of the family from day one. To meet other members of the family check out our Facebook page Coconut Tree Divers and Go Pro Caribbean.
Our fantastic location in the heart of the West End right on half moon bay gives us a perfect confined water site literally a stone’s throw away. With a location like this, diving couldn’t be easier. The less time spent getting to and from the dive sites means more time actually diving. The majority of the sites we visit are less than a 15min boat ride.
When the weather is bad (fortunately a rare occurrence) the narrow shape of Roatan also means that just 5 minutes away will be the calm waters of the other side of the island, its rarely rough on both sides of an island!
The small town of West End is the best option for anyone planning on spending an extended period of time on the island. It has a great selection of reasonably priced restaurants, a few bars and some small grocery shops, All along a waterfront/beach. Restaurants are far cheaper than nearby West Bay, or other isolated spots such as Palmetto bay or turquoise bay in the East. Our accommodation page has more information about these options.
